Manuscript Submission Overview

Types of manuscripts

MSIS Press journals consider original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, methods papers, case studies, short communications and editorials when the subject is appropriate for the selected journal. The article type chosen during submission should accurately describe the work.

Research reports should present a clear question, suitable methods, sufficient evidence and conclusions supported by the results. Reviews should explain their search or selection approach and provide a balanced synthesis rather than a promotional overview. Case studies must state their wider scholarly or practical relevance.

Editors may recommend a different article type when this improves the accuracy of the published record.
