Meaning of Open Access

For MSIS Press journals, open access means that the published article landing page and designated full-text PDF are available online without a reader subscription. Publication is intended to be accessible from the date it is released as the version of record.

Open access is distinct from unrestricted ownership. Copyright, licensing and permission conditions remain applicable and are stated in the article record, PDF or author agreement. Proper attribution and accurate citation are always required.

A DOI, where assigned, provides a persistent identifier; the journal article page remains the authoritative location for current metadata, corrections and publication notices.
