Advantages of Open Access for Authors
Open access can broaden the potential readership of a paper by allowing anyone with internet access to reach the version of record. Stable landing pages and structured metadata also make it easier for libraries, search services and researchers to identify and cite the work.
Visibility does not guarantee indexing, citations or academic impact. Authors strengthen discoverability by providing an accurate title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, references and persistent identifiers.
Authors should share the canonical article link or DOI rather than uploading uncertain copies, and should correct their personal and institutional records if publication metadata changes.
