Guest Editor Responsibility
A Guest Editor is responsible for the scholarly direction of an approved thematic collection while following the same ethics, conflict-of-interest and peer-review requirements as the journal's regular editors. The role does not guarantee acceptance of invited submissions.
Guest Editors should define a coherent scope, recommend qualified independent reviewers, protect confidentiality and base recommendations on the content of the reviews and manuscript. They must not handle papers where a relationship with the authors creates a conflict.
The Editor-in-Chief or a delegated independent editor retains oversight and may modify or reject a recommendation when required to protect editorial standards. MSIS Press may discontinue a collection that does not meet its academic or ethical requirements.
